Curt Brannan

Dr. Brannan is a good friend of mine and a fellow teacher. I have been continually encouraged by him over the past few years. Encouragement has come through his words and his example. He has been through tough times and I have never seen him lac a smile (until I asked him not to). I think taking portrait of the ones you love or having someone take them for you is incredibly important. I am so thankful to Dr. Brannan for allowing me to make a few portraits of him especially since I know it was torturous for him to be in front of the lens. These images mean a lot to me and I hope that they may also be a blessing to his family now and down the road.

Mr. Brannan looks like someone I'd like to meet for coffee on a lazy Saturday morning. Thanks for sharing, Clay.

I bet his family loves what you did - you really have a rare talent for "capturing" the person who you are photographing. I can't wait to show these to Matthew.

Are you sure you are going to keep teaching? Or maybe you will become a world-famous photographer, and we will all say we "knew you when!"

Thanks for the comments.

I am hoping for the "we knew you when." I don't mind if I never achieve world-famous but, I would love to make a living in photography.

Thanks for taking the time to look at these. And I am glad to know someone close to him finds these beautiful. He is a great man. I have had the privilege to work beside him the past four years. By the way he carries himself you would never know the great suffering he has endured through these past years. I pray that God would be merciful to your family in this time of mourning.

If you are interested in the photographs let me know.
