A Walk With Ellie On A Lovely Saturday
It was incredibly beautiful yesterday so I took Ellie out for a walk/photowalk. I grabbed the camera and we set off. Not to far into the walk I had realized that her diaper leaked so we headed back home for a new outfit. Got redressed and set out again and this time enjoyed a lovely walk around our neighborhood. These are a few of the many shots I took.
p.s.
The shot of Ellie crying is not due to the fact that she was tired of the camera but rather that she had lost one of the berries that you see there in her hand.

My Wife's New Blog
My wife just started a new blog. It will be much more than a photo blog but will allow me to make this blog more of a spot for my work photos. Go check it out and make sure to leave some great comments.

Playing in Ellie's Room
This image was taken while we were playing around in Ellie's room. We (Brooke and I) really love this image because it captures the personalities of both of our children. Our playful Ellie is here being goofy with a glove patting Athanasius on the head while he looks on in drop-jawed wonder. Not to mention my wife with her great smile which was brought on by this funny scene. The whole glove thing was really cracking us up! She was putting it on and grabbing things and of course patting her brother on the head. We were having a great time!

Bass Pro Trip
This was our first trip to Bass Pro as a family. In fact, other than myself, it was everyone's first trip to Bass Pro. We had a great time looking at all the animals and everything else in the store.
Every night when we put Ellie to bed we ask her what she will dream about tonight she said she would dream about Bass Pro.

Athanasius in a Sling
***if you saw this picture before now it was a larger version (which I liked) but I had to shrink it because I viewed it on another computer and realized that it was cut off. So this "smaller" version is for those of you who might not have been able to see it all.***
I capture this image while my lovely family and I walked around Commercial street. I did not care for this image at first but I think that I now love it. And it was about time that I posted another picture of my son. Hopefully there will be more to come... I have a couple ideas that it is taking forever to get to.

Self Portrait with Athanasius
Athan and I hung out at home one night while Brooke and Ellie went out shopping . He was falling asleep on me and I kept looking at him and thinking what a beautiful child God has given us. And being a photographer I kept seeing these shots in my head as I watched him. There he was sleeping on my shoulder and I wanted to get a shot. But how could I do it?
Maybe its simple but I thought I would give you a chance to guess how I pulled it off. There was no tripod, timer, or any other triggers used to capture this image. I would be interested to hear your thoughts. If you guess it right away I'll realize it was not as slick as I thought but then again I'm not terribly interested in being slick. This is a pull for comments =).... maybe I should offer some kind of prizes? Possibly in the future.
